We're welcoming Cheri again--she has a lot to share! :)
Hi, my name is Cheri Swalwell. I always say that when I got married, my husband gave me roots. I’ve lived in five states, and am told my accent is eclectic. It must be pretty thick since some of my kids talk like I do despite having lived in one place their whole lives.
Tell us about your book?
Sisters in Christ: Defeat the Enemy One Powerful Prayer at a Time is a stand alone Christian living book, encouraging women to find a prayer partner, sister in Christ to walk through life together and learn how to fight the enemy through prayer.
Back Cover Blurb:
I’ve heard the phrase “Sisters in Christ” throughout my life, but it wasn’t until several years ago when God invited me into a friendship with an extraordinary woman that I took notice of its meaning. It was then I began to see what “Sister in Christ,” when put into action, truly meant. God quickly unpeeled the layers of superficial and invited us into a deeper relationship with Him, which naturally accelerated our friendship to a deeper level as well.
Sisters in Christ don’t just share common interests, but they share a bloodline of rich ancestry. They aren’t just friends, they are sisters, relatives in the royal family.
We live in a world that is increasingly hostile and less than supportive of people who make a stand for Christ. However, for all believers, our common mission is to love our Heavenly Father with all our heart and to love others the way Jesus Himself loved through His example in the New Testament.
I believe now is the time to come together, as Sisters in Christ, to encourage and support each other as we stand up for the truths of the Bible, to introduce the world to the only Savior who has all the answers. There isn’t a better time than now to shine God’s light to those who need Him most.
My prayer is that God will put this book in the hands of Sisters in Christ who will form communities across the country, across the globe – offering fellowship, support, encouragement, prayer and love to one another in order to reach the lost and broken with God’s message of salvation.
Ask the blog reader a quirky question or two. I love getting the conversation going...
What is the most exotic animal you’ve ever owned? Our youngest wanted a scorpion when he was five years old. We told him he could have visitation rights with the one at the pet store and bought a bearded dragon instead.
What’s one of your most memorable “fun” moments? My husband and I had only been dating a few months and we went to a play. I was pulled up on stage during the pre-show to dance 50s style with the warmup dancers. (I’m an introvert!)

When I was a child, I had gerbils and hamsters. Thank you so much for sharing. God bless you.
My friend had gerbils and I thought they were mice.
When I was young my bother owned a white mouse. He kept it in his room, thank goodness. My sister and I avoided that area but he was entranced with odd creatures.
I love the post! The strangest pet I had was a raven. As far as fun memories, I have several. Namely pranking a scam caller, and spending time with my grandparents.
