Dear Readers, get ready for a sweet story and some beautiful pictures! I'm a farm girl myself so the title caught my attention right away. Here we go...

Introduce yourself—name, where you’re from, and something people notice when they meet you.

Hi everyone! Thank you, Christina, for hosting me today! I’m Heidi Main and I live in North Carolina with my husband and backyard of spoiled birds.

What do people notice when they meet me?

Um, that’s a hard one. Before the pandemic, I got lots of positive comments about my hairstyle. When the pandemic hit (and let me tell you, I’ve been training to not leave my house and not deal with people for many years (major introvert here), so it hit my sweet spot), I stopped drying my hair—I mean, why bother, no one was going to see me. Turns out I have naturally wavy hair and it seemed kind of cute. So when life started back up again, I kept up the not drying my hair thing going. I’m still getting comments about my hair (so cute…) but I often wonder if it is a backhanded southern way of encouraging me to style my hair. I’m 50-50 on the topic 😉

Tell us about your book—title and back cover blurb.

My next book, THE FARMER’S MARRIAGE BARGAIN, releases on April 1, 2025. Here’s a little about the book….

They agreed to a practical marriage, but love never goes as planned…

Raising three children alone was never part of the plan, but after losing her husband, Emma Bailey is doing the best she can. Until she discovers that she can’t afford the medication her youngest child needs. Suddenly, her late husband’s best friend comes to the rescue. Carter McCaw promised he’d always watch over the family and the farm. But when he proposes a marriage of convenience, Emma’s not so sure. It seems like the perfect solution…until love blooms between them and complicates everything.

Share one thing that you found difficult or challenging about writing this book.

Getting the first draft down. That’s honestly the hardest thing for me to do. Butt in chair and write. Even when I’ve worked out a solid premise with my writing partner. I’ve written the first chapter. I’ve got a solid paragraph for what happens in every scene. I still struggle with getting that first draft down. It is hard work!

Ask the blog reader a quirky question or two?

The Farmer’s Marriage Bargain is centered around a goat farm. Have you ever been around goats?

If not goats, what would your favorite farm animal be? And if there’s a fun reason, why?

I’ve been around goats, and I think baby goats (kids) are so cuddly, but then they grow up! So, for me, I’d have to pick horses. I grew up on a horse farm, and I use that term loosely, and have fond memories of riding and jumping and caring for the horses.

I haven't really been around goats, so I would have to say horses are my favorite farm animal. Thank you for the opportunity to be included in the book giveaway. It sounds like a great read. Blessings, Christi 😀

I have not spent any time around goats, but a friend's daughter raises them. She is always posting pictures of them, and they are very cute. COVID also changed my hair, I quit dying my and I went completely gray.

The book sounds amazing, just like your naturally dried hair! (I too have allowed my hair to air dry for decades!) Thanks for the opportunity to participate in your book giveaway!
