Dear Readers,
I hope this message finds you well. This week finds us meeting a Publisher's Weekly and Amazon best-selling author, Tracey Lyons. Her historical romance novels include Amish and women Pinkerton agents. I love those kind of books--how about you?

Introduce yourself—name, where you’re from, and something people notice when they meet you.
HI everyone! Thank you, Christina, for inviting me on your blog! I’m Tracey Lyons and I live in upstate New York. I’m sort of near the famed Saratoga Race Track and the Spa state park. I think the one thing people notice the most about me when they meet me is that I’m short! Just at five feet tall. I still must find tall people to reach things for me in the grocery store. LOL!
Tell us about your book—title and back cover blurb?
My book is titled Heart of Faith. This is part of a multi-author Christian historical romance series called Hearts of the West.
When two boys who arrive in Missouri on the famed Orphan Train are left behind at the station, bake shop owner Amy Montgomery vows to make a home for them. She wants the boys to have a family for Christmas—but first she must convince former Pinkerton agent John Oliver to marry her.
John Oliver only left the Adirondack town of Heartston, NY for Missouri to make sure Amy stayed safe as she began her new life in a new town. He has no intention of becoming part of a makeshift family. When he realizes the orphaned boys could be in danger, he decides helping Amy may be the only way to save them.
Will they become the family she has been praying for in time for Amy to get her Christmas wish?

Share one thing that you found difficult or challenging about writing this book.
I think the most challenging part of writing this novella, is the fact that I had taken a four-year hiatus from writing due to health issues. I wasn’t even sure I wanted to continue with my career. And I wasn’t sure I could still write. Thankfully, the words flowed, and the story came together.
Ask the blog reader a quirky question or two?
What is one of your family traditions?
I was fortunate to be a part of the country’s oldest Santa Claus club. Every Christmas the club gathers gifts for all the families in Valatie, NY. We would gather at my grandmother’s house every Christmas eve. Now my grandchildren get to be a part of this wonderful tradition. They are the fourth generation to do so.
What is your most memorable opps Christmas moment? Mine is the year Santa fell into my grandmother’s Christmas tree!!

My favorite Christmas memory as a kid or anytime isn't a normal one because my favorite Christmas memory is when my Daddy's work place was done with a strike and he finally was able to come home after being locked in for a month or so and when he came home early January as a kid I was never so happy to see my Daddy
Nice cover. It sounds like a really interesting book. Thank you for sharing.
My favorite Christmas memory was when I was little and peeked around the door to see my amazing Dad putting the wheels on my little peddle car Oh how I miss those days! Many Blessings coming your way Tracey!
My favorite memorable Christmas moment is the year my sister and I showed up wearing the same sweater and her gift for my son was the same shirt he was wearing! Needless to say, we shopped at the same store!
