Dear Blog Readers,
I purposefully saved this Easter Sunday for myself
and did not schedule a guest blog or a Celebrate Lit Review.
I wanted to share with you, dear readers. I wanted to celebrate with you on this most important day of the year.
He is Risen! He is Risen indeed.
1 Corinthians 15 NIV: For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either. And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost. If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are to be pitied more than all men.
But that is NOT all there is! Christ did rise from the dead and we have HOPE.
If you've lost a loved one who died in the faith, you will see them again. If you are ill and have not reached those elusive dreams, you will not care. In heaven, all that matters is Christ.
So, dear readers, I pray you have the happiest of Easters. A day with family and friends, a day worshipping the Almighty, and a time of communion with our Christ.
Nothing is more important, nothing else even comes close.
PS I took the photo above last weekend at our LowCountry American Christian Fiction Writers beach retreat at Pawley's Island. I woke up later than usual (I know, 6:30 am being late is a little nuts but I am who I am) and the sky had a light glow. So, I thought I'd missed the sunrise. I hadn't. Instead, I got to see the most amazing sight as the sun rose by inches and then swept up the sky. BE patient, little flock, for God is with you. Lots of Love, Christina.
It was a beautiful sunrise! So glad to share it with you! 🌅 Happy Easter, Christina. He is risen indeed! ⛪️🌸✝️🌸⛪️
OH what a beautiful Easter Sunrise.
Happy Easter
During worship this morning, we talked about how the beauty of a sunrise draws us to stop and look. To linger in the beauty. JP compared that to the beauty of Jesus and his grace. And how that beauty draws us to linger and learn and get to know him better, so that we can marvel even more at his beauty. Perfect timing to see these sunrise pictures this afternoon.
Risen Indeed ❤️
My Daddy passed away on Easter Sunday, April 12, 1998. Easter Sunday, no matter the date, has many special and important memories for our family. What a blessing to be a child of God! He is Risen! Risen Indeed!
