I apologize, readers. Yes, today's Wednesday recipe is coming out on a Thursday. I'm sorry, but this is final exams week. Do you remember that feeling of being crushed by papers you need to grade? No? How about the feeling of showing up for a test on the wrong day?
All of that. Professors deal with all of the feels. So, I'm behind.
But the recipe is easy and delicious and perfect for entertaining--and I purchased the book at the Biltmore in North Carolina. Enjoy!
Honey-Mustard Brie
Ingredients:

1 (15-ounce) round Brie cheese
1/4 cup honey mustard (not the salad dressing, but found in the mustard aisle)
1 Tablespoon honey (I used the Montana honey my nephew sent me from the ranch he manages)
1/4 cup toasted walnuts (spread on a baking sheet at 350 degrees for about 5 minutes--when you can smell the deliciousness)
Directions:
Cut the top rind from the cheese, leaving a 1/2 inch border. Place on a serving tray.
Combine the honey mustard and honey in a bowl and mix well. Spread over the cheese.
Sprinkle with the walnuts.
Let stand at room temperature 1 hour or longer.
Serve with apple slices and whole wheat crackers.
I served at my local writer's retreat at the beach--be careful, it's addictive!
Note: Found in Biltmore Traditions, 2012.
