Dear Readers, Sometimes, I'm up for a challenge. This recipe looked difficult because of the shaping, but it wasn't! A fun way to have that cinnamon roll flavor!

Ingredients:
Coffee Cake
3-3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3 Tablespoons granulated sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 package active dry years
3/4 cup milk
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
2 eggs
Directions:
In a large mixer bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
In a small saucepan, place milk and butter. Heat until very warm (120 degrees to 130 degrees F). Add to flour mixture in bowl.
Add eggs. Blend at low speed 3 minutes. Beat at medium speed 3 minutes.
Stir in enough of remaining flour to make a stiff dough. Place in a greased bowl.
Cover. Let rise 1 1/2 hours.
Filling Ingredients:
1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
2 tablespoons maple-flavored syrup
1/4 teaspoon maple extract
Glaze:
1/2 cup powdered sugar
2-3 teaspoons milk
1/4 teaspoon maple extract
Directions:
Combine filling ingredients.
Divide dough into 2 parts. Roll each to a 12-inch round. Place one round onto a greased 12-inch pizza pan. Spread with filling. Top with second round. Seal edges.
Make 5-inch cuts, 1 inch apart from outside edges (I placed a ramekin in the middle as a stopping point).
Twist each strip. Let rise 1 hour or until light.
Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.
Combine glaze ingredients.
Drizzle over warm cake. Serve to people you love (or at least like)!

For Halloween or a themed party, a Beth Dutton Costume is a popular and powerful choice. Getting the details right is key. The Western Jacket site offers complete ensembles to help you nail the look.
That looks so good!
