Dear Readers, I may be a little obsessed, y'all. I love peaches. But still, this will be my last peach recipe (for awhile), I promise. This is more of a traditional pie but still, so good. Just look at that picture, with the peach juice bubbling along the sides. You know you want some, with vanilla ice cream on top, don't you?
Peach Crumble Pie
Ingredients

1 9-inch pie crust
5 1/2 cups sliced peaches, peeled
1/2 cup sugar
3 tablespoons flour
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
dash of salt
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
Toss peaches with sugar, flour, nutmeg, salt, and lemon rind. Pour into crust.
Topping
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon mace
1/3 cup butter
Directions:
Combine flour, sugar, and spices and cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Spread over peaches. Bake in preheated 400 degrees oven for 1 hour or until lightly browned.
Seriously, serve warm with vanilla ice cream. Enjoy!
Note: I modified the recipe from Good Cookin' from the Heart of Virginia, 1985, The Junior League of Lynchburg, Virginia.
Thank you for sharing. It looks delicious. God bless you.
