Dear Readers,
I mentioned in my last blog that my stepmother passed away. She was in my life for almost three decades. One of her love languages was cooking (something we had in common). Here, she's pictured with my husband--she made him his favorite pound cake for Christmas--wrapped it and everything.
I hope you have a wonderful day. Please hug someone you love--love's never wasted!
Sara's Pound Cake
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups butter, softened (3 sticks)
6 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 box (16 ounces) 10X sugar (confectioner's sugar)
2 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar.
Add 6 eggs, one at a time, alternating with flour.
Add vanilla.
Pour into greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for one hour.
Super easy!
P.S. I didn't say it was healthy. :)

This does sound easy and delicious. You are so right, it is a bit rich, but it will be so good. I can think of a couple of events I would take this to.
I am so sorry for your loss. It sounds delicious. Sending you hugs, love and prayers.
What a special recipe to share- thank you!
May she rest in peace. Oo, I love a good pound cake!
I’m so sorry about your stepmother’s passing, but what a wonderful legacy she left you! Pound cake is a favorite of mine, and I plan to try her recipe as I don’t have one with powered sugar. It sounds delicious. Thank you for sharing.
